Checking In On The RotoAuthority League

It's been a while since we've checked in on the RotoAuthority League.  Each of the twelve owners threw down $100 for this 12 team mixed roto battle.  Post-draft rosters and owner info can be found here.

  • In a poll of 190 readers, the Dizzy Llamas were picked as the best team.  The Llamas are currently in fifth place, but are within sniffing distance of third.  They've had A-Rod, Howie Kendrick, and Mike Lowell spend time on the DL.
  • I drafted Manny Corpas in this league, and subsequently tried to pry a closer loose from many of the other teams to no avail.  I thought I made some solid offers, as well as some "introductory" type ones.  I have Jose Valverde and Kerry Wood, but crave a third closer.  That's why I'm rostering Ryan Franklin, Salomon Torres, and Mike Gonzalez.  My team is in second despite my foolish draft of Francisco Liriano.  Thanks, Cliff Lee!
  • Volvo Stationwagons has a healthy claim on first place despite Jimmy Rollins' DL stint.   They've got Pat Burrell, Tim Lincecum, Zack Greinke, and Dana Eveland.
  • Philly Cream Cheez and Santa's Magic Janitor are battling for last place.  Their teams look pretty good on paper so I won't write 'em off after just one month.
